We’re experienced and skilled when it comes to made-to-order wood work. Local to Leavenworth, WA, but serving clients in Wenatchee, Lake Wenatchee, Chelan and beyond.
Our story.
Jay’s father was a custom home builder in Seattle before moving to San Diego County. Jay grew up helping build homes, eventually developing a small storefront selling re-finished antiques.
In 1980 Jay and his wife moved to Leavenworth. With a hard work ethic and an eye for detail, he began Traditional Woodcraft. Starting with small woodworking projects and slowly growing, he hired his first employee in 1986.
The business rode the highs and lows over the following years and in 2005 his youngest son, Jacob, settled in Leavenworth with his wife and began to apprentice in the shop.
“We have grown and evolved over time, honing our skills. Delivering the best in finishing details is one of our trademarks, combined with quality craftsmanship that will last for years. We are still a small shop which allows us to give personal attention to the client and to our detailed work.”
Now, over 40 years later they work side by side with an eye toward the future of Traditional Woodcraft.
